Balance Wizard's Grizzleheim & Celestia Crafted Clothing

Grizzleheim Clothing

Balance wizards are going to need 12 Hydra Treasure cards. The most you'll need of anything is 36 Acorn. You'll also need 25 Perfect Citrine, but you can buy those from many reagent vendors. I'm pretty sure that Balance wizards are the only ones who will need Sunstone in order to craft their gear found in Sudrilund, Grizzleheim. Click on any of the set titles below to see the full list of ingredients required.

Carax Strongthread is the clothing recipe vendor in Sudrilund. He can be a little difficult to find if you don't know where to look. When you enter Sudrilund, run around the mob of Coven Frostbeaks and Darkwing Choppers, and up the bridge. If you look past the mob of Darkwing Hewers and Darkwing Choppers, you will see a burning cauldron off in the distance. Carax Strongthread is standing just behind that cauldron, you should be fine if you stick to the path - the mob doesn't venture out into it here.

Balance wizards are also given a boost to their Power Pip chance with the Grizzleheim gear, rather than getting Balance accuracy, just as we saw with the Life and Death schools. Savvy has commented that she never really had fizzle issues and the better chance at Power Pips was definitely more welcome than an accuracy boost.

Celestia Clothing

If you caught my last article, this will be a tad bit repetitive. But it needs to be said for those who are just joining us, because instead of having separate vendors based on school, here in Celestia you will find only 3 vendors. Hamish Willoughby will be the first vendor that you run into when you get to The Grotto. He's fairly easy to find since he is in a cage and isn't likely to wander off. He has a collection of various hat recipes. Once you progress to Stormriven you will run into Enid Crowe. She can bestow boot recipes upon you. Eventually, you will make your way to the Science Center and Humphrey Thatcher, the vendor that sells robe recipes.

Warning from Dezzy:

To make all 3 items in the Celestia outfits, you are going to need to collect 10 - 12 Hydra Treasure Cards, depending on which outfit you intend to make. Balance wizards will also require a decent amount of Golden Pearls, Aether, and Fossils for all of the clothing sets here in Celestia. The amounts really vary by recipe and some require quite a bit of Kelp and/or Shell. The remainder of the ingredients are simple to come by for the amounts needed. Just click on the set title to view the full list of ingredients necessary to make the entire set: the hat, robe, and boots.

Balanced Brimstone Set
Balance/Fire

Definitely a tough choice. My personal opinion is that the Celestia gear gives better boosts, for the most part. Grizzleheim gear gives incoming healing boost and item cards.

Set of Tragic Tolerance
Balance/Death

You aren't seeing double and this isn't an error, This outfit really does look exactly like the one above. My opinion as far as the boosts etc are pretty much the same as above too.

Lawful Thunder Set
Balance/Storm

Is it just me or would it be hard to wear this outfit without feeling like an alien pumpkin? The Celestia gear already gives an extra 100 health boost, add to it the extra accuracy, damage, and critical rating for secondary Storm school spells and I would really lean towards using the Celestia gear for this school combination. Then again, the Grizz gear gives extra Power Pip Chance, Global Resistance, and Incoming Heal boosts. Not to mention the extra Balanceblade and Hex Item Cards would be incredibly handy too,

Set of Mutual Mystery
Balance/Myth

Celestia gear for Balance/Myth wizards gives an unusual amount of Myth critical blocking. This choice is a toss up and I know I'm starting to sound like a repetitive parrot, but decisions will be based on personal preferences and how much you rely on your secondary school Myth spells.

Harmonious Heart Set
Balance/Life

I think that most people that choose Life as their secondary schools do so mainly for the access to extra healing spells rather than damage. I know that is why I did personally. I really think that I would have to go with Grizzleheim gear with this combination in order to have the global resistance.

Coalescent Ice Set
Balance/Ice

Ice wizards are known for their tank abilities but they can be very powerful and dangerous too. Even more so with a 60% Damage boost to Ice spells.

You can have many options if you carry both sets of crafted clothing. You might end up looking a bit eccentric, but you CAN always mix the clothing and wear the boots from Celestia with the hat and robe from Sudrilund. Level 55+ is where wizards really get a bit of freedom to fine tune their crafted gear to their own preferences.

Please keep in mind that the numbers above reflect the properties given when the entire set is worn together. I have provided a link to the Dezzy's Closet page of our website that gives the clothing recipe and info for the sets, and the names of the individual items that make up the sets - just click on the set title. These pages are not yet available through our site but I have given exclusive early access to our blog readers!
