Castle Blocks - Part 1 - Crafting with Savvy

     

      In previous articles I have mentioned castle blocks, at first I wasn't sure about them. The possibilities are really cool but they seem to lack the personality that I was getting from using the tablet/marker combo. However, I decided that it was unfair to judge the newest items without giving them a chance first. Most of the recipes are fairly cheap and mainly use reagents that are easily accessible, which is nice. The pieces fit together with ease where as the markers had to be arranged in a certain way to form an extra room. Unfortunately the walls can not be placed at a diagonal and there are only two different styles.

     I honestly think that if you could add wallpaper and floor tile to the different pieces I would like them more. Also, if you are not simply adding to an existing house it can get a little pricey; the specialty pieces jump from 2,000 gold to 10,000 to a whopping 25,000. Yes there are other items whose recipes have an even bigger price tag but generally that item is complete. However, with the roof pieces you may end up needing several different types, all but one being 25,000 gold. Although, there are some really cool blocks, like the secret passage blocks, stained glass windows and other windows you can actually look out of! How cool is that? I always wondered what my pets did when I left the yard. I may have to look into castle blocks a little more…
