Aether & Fossil - Gardening for Reagents

Generally I will warn you not to get too excited when Fickle Pickle shows up on our list of plants. I will however point out that while they will not mass produce anything that we are looking for this week, they are your best source for Fossils and seem to supply them as one of their highest drops. Fickle Pickles are also the only plant that can provide both Fossil and Aether - and they can also give you Stone Block which you can Transmute into Fossil.

Water Lily, Kelp, and Shell - Gardening for Reagents

I'm going to go out on a limb here and tell you right off to find yourself some Maelstrom Snap Dragon seeds. While Burning Snap Dragons will probably get you more water lily faster Maelstrom Snap Dragons are practically your one stop gardening choice for Grizzleheim and Celestia clothing for Fire wizards.

Fossil & Sunstone - Gardening for Reagents

HI everyone! Windbreaker said you guys might need a better source for Fossils and Sunstones. Here I am, to the rescue. Both Fossils and Sunstones are staples in the crafter's reagent cabinet and it is really a good idea to try to always have some on hand. Whether you actually need them right away or not I have some excellent plants that will help stock you up.

Aether, Aquamarine, Golden Pearl, and Shell: Gardening for Reagents

Last week we learned that Aether, Golden Pearl, and Shell are on our grocery list for the Celestia Clothing Recipes. We'll also need Aquamarine for the gear that is found in Sudrilund, Grizzleheim. When Dezzy asked me for a gardening recommendation, I had answered off the top of my head with King Parsley. I was pretty close! King Parsley will get you Aether and Aquamarine in nice amounts. However, upon closer inspection, Maelstrom Snap Dragons will net you all four ingredients that we are searching for in the upcoming months. PLUS you can get mega snacks from Maelstrom Snap Dragons when they elder! That's always a plus! :) Also, you can harvest all but the shells from both Deadly Helephant Ears and Evil Magma Peas.

King Parsley - Gardening for Reagents Part 1

Gardening and crafting can go hand in hand as many reagents can be easily harvested from plants every day, or even several times a day depending on the plant. Today I will discuss one of my favorite plants that I grow primarily for reagents.

King Parsley

One word: Amber. I know rumor has it that Professor Greyrose has let slip that the White Tiger Lily is THE best gardening source for amber. While it MAY be true that you have a better probability of amber drops with the White Tiger Lily, I have found that what this plant does not drop is more seeds. Sometimes you can find them in the bazaar, sometimes you can actually get them dropped from boss fights, but for me personally I would rather grow King Parsley. Especially when you figure in the fact that White Tiger Lily can have explosive gnats (rank 4 pests) which takes way too much of my energy to combat. On the other hand, King Parsley plants only get ghoulish wisps at the worst. 15 energy for a pest zapper and I'm pest free for 48 hours!
